Greenhouse is the leading hiring software for growing companies. Thousands of the most successful companies, such as Lyft, Squarespace, Dropbox and Venmo, use Greenhouse to optimize all aspects of their hiring and onboarding. With our powerful hiring approach, complete suite of software and services, and large integration ecosystem, your company will be ready to hire for what's next.
Greenhouse operates with three core company values: we create belonging, we act with purpose and we work together as entrepreneurs. Belonging speaks to who we are as people – it means we embrace our differences and diversity of viewpoints, and that we create the space for everyone to be their best selves every day.
Acting with purpose ensures our positive impact in the world and engagement in our mission of fixing how companies hire and creating value for our customers every day. And we maintain a bias for action, relentlessly focusing on building a remarkable company that solves important problems for our customers.
Working at Greenhouse
At Greenhouse, we’re changing the way the world hires. Every day, we work to build a company where people are growing their impact and their careers. Where humans come first and collaboration is as abundant as our ambition. And where the right thing to do is also the right thing for our business.
Greenhouse strives to keep its benefits and perks program both relevant to the needs of our workforce and competitive within our industry. We achieve this by complementing our integrated health insurance options with strong, evolving ancillary programs that align with our core values. In the past year, we’ve added a nonelective employer contribution to our HAS benefit to help employees expense their immediate healthcare needs. We’ve also reinforced our commitment to families by updating our Fertility benefit to include adoption services.
These new benefits complement our existing flexible PTO, work from home philosophy and Paid Parental Leave program.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Building belonging means creating a culture that doesn’t
just tolerate differences, it actively embraces them. To support these efforts,
we’ve launched an internal DE&I Council and Ethics Committee made up of
representatives across the organization and across positions to help hold
ourselves accountable internally to this important work. We’re also training
our executives and managers in foundational DE&I principles that connect
back to our work, and supporting the growth of our employee resource groups
(ERGs) and virtual realities facilitators.
As a company that provides technology for other companies, we’re continuing to invest in DE&I-driving product enhancements and interventions. Some of these features include nudges, hiding prejudicial data, assessing algorithmic bias, enhancing our DE&I feature set metrics and creating an even more equitable and inclusive candidate experience via our candidate name pronunciation feature and pronouns projects. We’re also taking additional concrete steps like implementing a diversity sourcing strategy for every job search and setting dedicated DE&I KPIs for our talent acquisition team.
Check out the following campaigns we have run to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace:
- The Power Of A T-Shirt
- Implementing diversity hiring practices in a remote working world
- This Women’s Equality Day, let’s shift our focus to equity in the workplace
About Our LGBTQ+ Inclusion Network
Rainbowhouse is one of Greenhouse’s ERGs – our voluntary, employee-led affinity groups made up of people with similar cultural backgrounds and/or interests. Supported by the DE&I functional area under the people team, ERGs like Rainbowhouse provide a brave space for people to come together, in community and as allies, to effect positive social change within and outside of Greenhouse. Rainbowhouse, for all interested LGBTQ+ employees, organizes all Pride events and fundraising throughout the year. In 2021, Greenhouse designed our first Pride t-shirts, with all proceeds going to two nonprofits dedicated to uplifting and protecting LGBTQ+ youth: The Trevor Project and the Ali Forney Center.
