I have been working at RS for nearly 3 years. As soon as I joined I was impressed by how end to end everybody works and how much it cares for its employees. Within this time I have seen different communities start and grow such as Elevate and SPECTRUM. These communities have really helped in pushing RS in a brilliant direction and so many positive stories have came from the hard work that has been done within the communities.

I believe that RS being an all-inclusive company and really embracing diversity has a big role to play in our success. Allowing people to bring their true selves to work and promoting total inclusivity amongst it's people will only bring the best out of everybody. This mentality is engrained into peoples ways of working at RS and for me makes them very desirable to work for.

I have been working at RS for just under a year now. When I first started I noticed a few people wearing the rainbow-coloured SPECTRUM lanyards and wanted to find out more about it. I got into contact with Preston Taylor and started coming to the SPECTRUM meetings and events. During the first meeting I attended I was really moved by the topics discussed and the support everyone gave and had- and so I began getting involved more!

We offered our support and knowledge on World Mental Health Day and our Global Lanyard Launch was a great success!We began to see so many people wearing the lanyards, showing their support and giving their stories or asking questions. It makes me really proud to be part of something that drives towards equality and full inclusivity. SPECTRUM strives to make RS a better place to work and encourages people to be themselves. :)

Having led the SPECTRUM LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group for over two years now, I am passionate about RS, and it's belief in the value of its peoples diversity. RS truly believes in bringing your true self to work each and every day and that diverse teams make better decisions. If you are thinking of a career with RS I would highly recommend it, there is plenty of room for development, whether that be personal development or development within the business. RS really does support you in your ambitions.

I've only been with RS a few months but am taken aback at how inclusive, supportive and encouraging the company is to work for. I attend the weekly SPECTRUM quizzes and have become actively involved in the community, hoping to be part of many more events in the future. I can see myself being here for a long while yet!
