Production Intern (Lean Challenge - Summer Program)


Gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement and gain knowledge by performing tasks aimed at supporting ABB operations and enhancing staff education/employment opportunities. The development of a Productivity improvement project will be carried out to participate in the Lean Challenge 2024. Lean Challenge is a local and international competition where university students develop Continuous Improvement Projects based on methodology and principles of Quality Wins and Lean Manufacturing.

Your responsibilities

  • Collect data in the warehouse and production floor.
  • Carry out the analysis of the information obtained.
  • Propose improvement actions.
  • Carry out the implementation of Production actions.

Your background

  • Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or Electronic Engineering student, starting in the 6th semester.
  • Intermediate Excel level.
  • Theoretical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Intermediate – advanced English level for weekly progress presentations to North American and Local Managers.
  • Desirable: use of statistical software such as Minitab.
