Accounts Payable Jr Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for a detailed- oriented Accounts Payable Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks including, processing, tracking, and analyzing full-cycle AP workflow in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner, analyzing financial information, preparing journal entries, and helping to generate and maintain financial reports.
• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
• Manage AP workflow by developing and maintaining of Excel spreadsheets
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Collect contracts and follow the protocol of setting up new vendors in the accounting system
• Produce reports as required by department manager
• Prepare journal entries to ensure accurate financial records
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Assist in the identification and resolution of accounting discrepancies
• Perform other duties as required to support accounting department
• Participate in and contribute positively to work/team environment
• Develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency
• Special projects as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
What you need to be successful
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Critical thinking and high attention to detail
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Experience working with Oracle a plus
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with different business stakeholders, clients, and teams
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Fluent English
