About AXA IM

Our ambition is to be the world’s leading asset manager

At AXA IM, our purpose, to act for human progress by investing for what matters, is central to every action we take as a business.

As a responsible asset manager, we actively invest for the long-term to help our clients, our people and the world to prosper.

Our conviction-led approach enables us to uncover what we believe to be the best global investment opportunities across alternative and core asset classes. We are already entrusted with €869 billion in assets (as of end of March 2022).

Working as part of the AXA Group, a world leader in financial protection, our team of over 2,500 people (as of end of March 2022) around the world combine a range of specialist skills and experience to best serve the needs of our clients.

The combination of responsible, active and long-term defines our investment philosophy, but also how we run our business, what underpins our clients’ partnerships with us, and what drives our people.

Working at AXA IM

Empowering our people to drive progress

As part of a responsible, progressive organisation, our people help us to invest for what matters. Everyone in our diverse, global family shares this responsibility.

Together our people push boundaries and drive forward ideas. They’re willing to be bold and take the lead, using initiative and enterprise to create exceptional service. The kind of service that seeks to drive long-term prosperity for our clients, society and the world we live in.

Diversity and Inclusion

Thrive within a diverse community

At AXA IM, inclusion and diversity are closely linked to our values and to our culture of respect for employees, clients and the communities around us. We always aim to create an environment where everyone feels they belong, are included and can thrive.

LGBT+

We want our LGBT+ employees to be themselves at work. We use the term ‘LGBT+’ to represent the wide range of sexual orientations, identities and expressions that exist. Around the world, being LGBT+ all too often means you’re faced with discrimination and persecution, so we focus on education around these issues. We stand in solidarity and support our employees - those who are out, as well as those that are not - because we want to create and maintain workplaces that attract and retain LGBT+ talent.

The following are a few actions we have undertaken to create an inclusive workplace for LGBT+ colleagues –

• During the World Economic Forum in Davos, on 26 January 2018, as part of the AXA Group, we expressed our support to United Nations LGBTI Standards of Conduct For Business.

• As an entity of AXA Group, we have also signed up to France's l’Autre Cercle Charter to commit for an inclusive workplace for LGBT+ employees.

• In line with our commitment to provide a work environment where everyone belongs, our policies such as Global Inclusion & Diversity Policy and Global Equal Opportunities Policy clearly state our solidarity and support for LGBT+ inclusion. Our Global Standard on Harassment outlines our commitment to prohibiting harassment in the workplace, including linked to a persona’s gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

• We regularly review our policies to ensure they are fully LGBT+ inclusive e.g. our Global Parent Policy offers the same minimum parental leave provision to all AXA IM employees globally, including same-sex couples, adoptive and single parents.

• Through our Global Inclusion Survey, we collect and measure our employees’ feeling of inclusion and access to equal opportunities with an ability to assess the data across different diversity categories including LGBT+. This data is obviously aggregated using a high confidentiality threshold. Our Management Board has annual targets linked to the results of this survey.

• We upskill our employees through awareness and learning series consisting of key communications, employees’ testimonies, learning and engagement opportunities centered around key LGBT+ dates (e.g. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, Pride Month etc).

• Many leaders and employees across our company have publicly committed to being a visible ambassador for LGBT+ inclusion at AXA IM and across the financial services industry.

• Through our partnership with LGBT Great, we participate in various initiatives including a benchmarking exercise and a cross-company mentorship program.

At AXA IM, there are various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) including one focussed on LGBT+ inclusion. These are global, voluntary, employee-led groups that act as a resource for both group members and the company.

LGBT+ Employee Resource Group – I aM Proud

I aM Proud supports and engages LGBT+ employees and allies to foster an inclusive environment where employees of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions feel comfortable to bring their whole selves to work.
