Data Analyst, US HR


As a core member of the Human Resources (HR) Services in Human Resources Information System (HRIS), you will deliver HR service assistance to the HR community, business managers and employees. You will process complex and escalated HR requests related to multiple service lines for an assigned group of employees. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining comprehensive HR reports, dashboards, analytic tools and scorecards to illustrate data and provide insight to members of the US HR team while ensuring the timely development and distribution of established periodic reports are aligned with data privacy policies and secure delivery methods. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for local process owners to support the data requests of the two Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, SAP & Workday, through July 2025 and, thereafter, the sole HCM system, Workday, as well as support mission critical HCM applications. In addition, this role will work in tandem with technical resources from Information Systems to aid resolution of HR related work items. This position does require the ability to work a hybrid in-person schedule in our Cary, NC office.

Your responsibilities

  • Utilize business applications and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to create interactive HR reports and translate data findings into clear and understandable insights that drive HR strategies
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple sources and present the results of data in a secure, usable format, as well as translating them to technical and system languages, to work with Information Systems to implement them into system solutions
  • Demonstrate understanding the HR business process, HR systems and downstream system impacts, as well as the IS landscape to proactively mitigate potential risks and produce future analytics
  • Create reports including, but not limited to, headcount, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), government labor statistics, payroll data, people analytics, audit reports for ERISSA, Workers Compensation, SOX, etc., as well as SQL, data compilation, exporting, scheduling and archiving.
  • Manage system application data issues by conducting analysis across US HR workstreams and communicating with stakeholders to ensure final resolution and closure
  • Perform analysis of data gaps and work with relevant stakeholders to recommend solutions
  • Develop and maintain data validation and data automation processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date HR data is available for analysis
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and other HR teams on project driven requests and prioritization
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support HR leadership in addressing specific challenges and opportunities
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously and optimally in a matrix organization and with very little oversight and direction
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices
  • Facilitate implementation of new employee training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives as related to master data maintenance
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree required and 8 years of Data-related or HR-related experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in HR data analytics, Workday report writing, SAP interfacing with HR data analytics and report writing is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of transactional processes and configuration for HR related workstreams
  • Understanding of integration points between HCM and other areas of HR operations
  • Superior Excel, PowerPoint, and Macros skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • PowerBI experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for IS data correlation
  • Ability to understand and execute project requirements
  • Strong analytical thinking and methodical problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to efficiently prioritize work and timely inform stakeholders on progress
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data correlation skills
  • Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to prepare, present, and lead project exploratory workshops and HCM solution gap analysis
  • Must be a structured thinker with the ability to resolve problems at hand efficiently
  • Must be able to work independently and as a collaborative team member
  • Excellent English language skills (written and oral)
