Junior Production Supervisor (m/f/d) with a Focus on Process Improvement


As a Junior Production Supervisor (m/f/d), you will be responsible for various projects related to pro-cess and quality improvement in the production area as well as operational workforce planning. You will monitor daily activities to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the production line. Additionally, you will take on the role of Process Improvement Specialist, optimizing processes within the manufacturing area. This role reports to the Production Supervisor of the production line.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure timely, quantity, and quality production and delivery of ordered products.
  • Manage maintenance and repair work on machines and address issues disrupting workflow.
  • Analyze existing operational processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and inefficiencies.
  • Analyze operational processes and optimize the manufacturing area regarding machinery, materials, and resources based on economic criteria, and accompany production changes.
  • Develop and implement improvement initiatives using Lean methods, Six Sigma tools, and other pro-cess optimization techniques. Monitor the implementation of improvement measures and track per-formance indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solu-tions.
  • Train employees in process improvement techniques and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Plan and adjust staffing needs on the production line according to order volume. Act as a professional supervisor, motivating, training, and instructing manufacturing staff while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Act as a representative for the Production Supervisor and handle special topics in their absence.

Your background

  • Technician or Bachelor's degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or simi-lar technical education).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in production.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and Quality Management. • Occasional willingness to work in 2 shifts.
  • Analytical, logical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Fluent German language skills in speaking and writing, as well as good English language skills in speaking and writing
