Associate Director, Strategic Account Management

Summary of the role:

The Associate Director, Strategic Account Management is an integral, respected and highly-valued partner to one of Amadeus' long-standing and important airline customers. They are also one of the top revenue generators.

As an industry thought-leader in the digital landscape and a creative strategist, the Associate Director guides and delivers best-in-class account management, to achieve current and future growth targets of products and solutions by navigating the complexity of the airline's organisational structure, strategic intent, decision making processes, and IT ecosystem.

The role impacts & optimizes the development of a collaborative, strategic customer partnership, in a rapidly evolving travel & tech market.

In this role you'll:

Have a clear vision and defined strategy

* Keep abreast of the market, the customer's business drivers, strategic thinking and obstacles across all aspects of their organisation that may impact Amadeus, with focus on Airline IT, Distribution and Digital
* Act as a strategic advisor; aligning Amadeus' products and solutions to the airline's strategic priorities, creating a strategic plan for acquisition, development and retention.
* Proactively manage existing commercial contracts, collaborating with the respective Legal teams to draft contract change orders

Play a vital role in Strategic Account Management

* Foster strong client relationships; become a trusted strategic advisor to the airline customer.
* You will directly influence on technical decisions to drive Amadeus product investments to meet customer expectations
* Ensure the relationship with the airline customer is fully optimized and delivers sales and profit targets
* Manage the customer budget and P&L implement creative thinking for sales to upsell, increase market share, and grow short- and long-term revenue
* Proactively establish a joint company-strategic account planning that develops mutual performance causes, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one- and three-year period
* Build sound business models and business cases, define pricing and negotiation models, prepare commercial proposals, and negotiate contractual and commercial conditions

Foster strong relationships

* Build, develop and maintain both relationships and commercial opportunities at C-Suite & Director level across multiple stakeholders including the airline customer, resellers, channel partners.
* Create, develop & maintain structured relationships with key influencers within Amadeus Central & Regional offices.

About the ideal candidate:

* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Business, IT, Commercial Sciences or Economics or similar.
* Experience in emerging technologies & aviation industry, online travel agency
* Commercial or Technical pre-sales consultancy experience would be a distinct advantage
