Partner Account Manager, Strategic ISV Sales, PARTNERS-PS

DESCRIPTION:

AWS is seeking an experienced Partner Account Manager focused on selling to one of our most sophisticated global strategic ISVs and expanding our ISV partner's business with their end customers.

The Partner Account Manager supports long-term strategy and executes daily to grow ISV and AWS revenue. In the role, you will foster and progress deep relationships, develop and manage opportunities, and help facilitate a large team of extended resources to drive revenue by providing value to the ISV, and to their customers as well.

Key job responsibilities
The Partner Account Manager is responsible for teaming with all aspects of the partner's organization. This includes C-level executives, engineering, IT/operations, partner org, and sales. Skills required to build relationships across an account include creative systems thinking, visioning, and executing via collaboration with an extended team to address ISV customer's needs. The Partner Account Manager will support a broad strategy for 'selling to' and 'selling with' the partner. The Partner Account Manager works collaboratively with appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Partner, Support, Solution Architect) to support customer interests, and advocates for the customer in harmony with what the AWS business mission. In addition to new service adoption and new line of business development, this role includes facilitating partnerships and technical collaborations.

A day in the life
This role is a connector between AWS field sales professionals and ISV sales. The role also participates in the creation and progression of strategic plans with C-level ISV executives, sometimes directing Amazon investments. The role provides consistent support for the account that results in high velocity AWS technology revenue growth.

About the team
This is a senior ISV sales team. Your teammates are experienced knowledge workers in sales, marketing, customer and professional services, and engineering (with expertise in both AWS and the customer solutions).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of technology sales selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services experience
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to present ideas and concepts effectively by email, phone, and face to face.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working with U.S. Federal, state and local public sector customers
