Senior Manager, North America Workflow, World Wide Capacity Planning

DESCRIPTION:

Amazon is looking for a visionary leader who is passionate about Customer Experience, capacity planning, and thinks globally. As our Senior Manager of Workflow, you will be pivotal in executing short-term and long-term capacity plans aligning actual staffing with forecasted requirements. You will lead a diverse team of managers across multiple countries, ensuring staffing precision within our internal network to maintain customer facing service levels.

• Vision and Strategy: Distill diverse inputs from large amount of data from operations and stakeholders to set visions, design strategies, and achieve consensus on priorities.
• Strategic Operations Leadership: You will use your expertise and judgment to design the right team structure and operational mechanisms to meet long-term business goals. Enjoy the learning new areas, as every day brings opportunities for growth.
• Team Development: Ensure the right people are in the right jobs, growing your team and providing them with leadership opportunities.
• Communication and Initiative Driving: Communicate and drive strategic initiatives with senior leaders, creating scalable and long-term mechanisms aligned with team efforts to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Operational Excellence: Run operations with a belief in continuous improvement, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities. You will work to remove bottlenecks, reduce complexity, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate degree in a relevant field. The ideal degree would be in engineering, operations, supply chain or a related field.
• Twelve years or more of management experience in a fast paced, rapidly changing operations environment.
• Project Management, supply chain, or Operations Planning experience
• Hands on experience in work force management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in managing globally distributed teams.
• Expertise in the use of technical/statistical tools to drive process improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
