About the team:
We play an instrumental role in connecting people with the things they need and love, anytime, anywhere. We help deliver a personalized shopping experience and seamless access to inventory from down the street and around the world, as well as tailored shopping experiences, including customized buying and selling. We at eBay seek to drive growth into new markets and drive value in the shopping and selling experience through “building, accelerating, and reinventing.” Our responsibilities include all aspects of the region including operations in the US, Canada and Latin America.
Manage a portfolio of products for the NA region that drive revenue growth for the organization; while providing deep customer value.
Be the champion and subject matter expert of specific customer journeys and own a business portfolio.
Define vision, competitive insights, industry trends and build product strategy for the customer journeys owned.
Partner with internal teams in conducting customer interviews and user research to identify what customers are looking for.
Identify and evaluate key partnerships with external vendors (RFPs) and negotiate term sheets.
Partner with internal teams to develop a product roadmap and execution strategy.
Work with technology teams in doing detailed analysis of the system architecture including analysis of APIs.
Prepare functional and technical specifications, while conducting gap analysis of as-is and to-be states.
Work with UX and Product teams in designing user interaction prototypes with tools like Invision and Zeplins.
Design and analyze technical architecture for development and define system performance requirements. Monitor using tools like Splunk or Medusa.
Define Key Performance Indicators for the business and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Design and monitor dashboards built using B.I. tools like Tableau that use SQL.
Run and monitor A/B and Multivariate tests and derive insights using statistical analysis.
Build a Go to Market strategy in conjunction with Marketing, PR, Ops and Legal teams.
Build robust marketing plans and track the performance and optimize as needed.
Work with Finance and Accounting to closely supervise the business performance and track budget vs spend.
Continuously work on optimizing the customer journey funnel – exposure and adoption rates for the owned portfolio.
If you are passionate about eCommerce, truly knowing your customers, knowing what their known and unknown needs are; and building and owning products end to end; then this could be the role for you.
BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields, MBA preferred.
5+ years of work experience preferably in a product and portfolio management setting; with a consistent record of successfully launching products/platforms.
Strong interest and understanding in internet and e-commerce business.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills and independent motivation.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to drive and implement ideas in a changing environment.
Individual who can prioritize well, communicate effectively, enjoys working in a group of hardworking and highly focused individuals.
Attention to detail for perfect execution of plans.
