Primary Job Responsibilities:

This opportunity is to work for one of the most exciting products at eBay. We process and analyze billions of records of customer behavioral data, listings impressions and sales transactions and expose these data to customers. We provide our sellers with business intelligence they are craving for and suggest actionable recommendations to increase their bottom-line. Our product line spans from user experience to application service to high-speed data storage, and we are obsessed with quality and speed. We adopt the agile development methodology and continuous delivery, and we effect changes to our customers multiple times a month. We would love to talk to you if you are up for the challenge!

Responsibilities will include:
  • Design, develop and support worldwide projects throughout all phases of the software development life cycle
  • Work with engineers and other cross functional teams like Product Management, Release Engineering, Quality Engineering, Architecture and Operations teams etc. to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles
  • Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes
  • Work on product initiatives and recommend improvements
  • Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them
  • Share release management duties on feature rollouts
  • Develop industry and product technical expertise
  • Find and help fix stability/scalability issues in a very time critical environment
  • Support site rollouts and be available to resolve site issues

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the Job Offered or three (3) years of experience in the field of software engineering; or Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the Job Offered or five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering.
