Reports and works directly with a tax Information Reporting and Withholding (IR&W) senior manager to ensure that the appropriate corporate tax policies, methods, standards, processes, reporting, and training are developed, applied, and understood by impacted partners!
As a Sr. Tax Accountant, you will:
Review, analyze and implement new IR&W requirements
Draft business requirement documents (BRD) for withholding, electronic 1099s and other reporting requirements
Work with product and technology, legal and privacy, risk and compliance, and other cross-functional teams to capture facts and develop strategies to ensure compliance with IR&W procedures such as withholding and reporting requirements
Project manage and lead efforts on request for proposals (RFPs)
Partner with teams to optimize tax processes and leverage technology to implement IR&W processes, including Withholding and Crypto.
Work with analytics to build reports for forecasting withholding & reporting
Analyze information used in the preparation of various information returns
Assist with IRS Notices such as CP2100 and TIN solicitations
Review Forms W-9, 147-C, W-8 BEN / W-8BEN-E and similar documentation
Identify procedural and systems gaps and differences in reporting procedures between company entities and implement standardization in areas where possible
Assist IR&W team members as needed
Qualifications:
Clear and concise communication skills
Ability to quickly grasp sophisticated tax requirements
Ability to communicate tax requirements to other partners
Ability to work independently and be a phenomenal teammate
5+ years experience with supporting multiple projects simultaneously
5+ years experience with building positive relationships with partners, colleagues, and collaborators
5+ years experience with MS Excel, Google Sheets, MS Powerpoint, Google Slides, Atlassian's Jira and Confluence products
5+ years working with IRS Tax Forms (eg. W-8/W-9) validation is preferred
5+ years experience with US Tax principles is preferred
For Internal Applicants this position is posted as a 24, however, based on candidate knowledge and skills we could hire the role at either a 23 or 24!
