Associate Director, Trade Strategy & Operations

Job Description

  • Serves as an internal point-of-contact for marketing brand leads and Managed Markets Strategy and Operations leadership for demand analysis, relevant issues, questions or other matters related to Gilead’s channel strategies and distribution networks
  • Partners with internal stakeholders, including Trade Account Managers, Trade Operations, Government Pricing, Finance, Payer Marketing and Chargebacks in the analysis, recommendation, approval and implementation of channel strategies
  • Collaborates with Trade Contract Management and Trade Operations in the negotiation and execution of channel contracts within the approved strategy guidelines and terms
  • Identify appropriate metrics and KPIs (key performance indicators) in alignment with Trade Account Managers to help monitor and measure performance of Gilead’s distribution networks and agreements.  Calculate and validate quarterly wholesaler scorecard in partnership with Finance.
  • Attends outside meetings or conferences, as appropriate, and monitor competitive landscape to stay abreast of distribution trends, including new and existing trading partners that may impact channel strategies
  • Leads the development of reporting requirements for new and existing channels and keeps key internal partners and stakeholders abreast of distribution trends
  • Works closely with Auditing, Regulatory, Legal and other partners/stakeholders to ensure fully compliant practices, policies & procedures
  • Leverage appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain order management parameters as defined by internal policy and agreements.  Includes updating SOPs as required and quarterly auditing to ensure consistency with documented procedures.
