Endpoint Management Platform Lead

The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh’s Research Triangle region will be home to some of the company’s critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead’s business runs effectively and efficiently. The center will also be a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.

Job Description

Gilead Sciences seeks an experienced individual to delivergrowing demand managingWindows client and server systems across the enterprise.The role will be leading a shift from primarily managing legacy,on-premises, infrastructure and endpoints to a cloud-based, SaaS model. This will include new cloud-based tools, services, and technology aligned to our transition to AWS and the larger percentage of devices used in remote work scenarios.This involves communication withinternal ITstakeholders, bothclientandinfrastructureteams, and IT leadership. This role requires combiningtechnical and leadership skills, working with platforms such asMicrosoft Endpoint Manager,Intune,Druva,Ivanti,andPowerBI.

The role will provide guidance and oversight to technical analysts as well as related delivery teams. This rolewill serve asasubject matter expertrepresentingplatform interests and assisting indevelopingitsstrategic direction. This role willhelp developdetailedreleaseplans, identifying needs to supportongoing system updatesandmanagementeffortswhileensuring high quality and delivering agreed uponplatform operational service levels.

Essential Functions

  • Manage, maintain, enhance applications and services based on Microsoft SCCM, Intune, Druva, etc. for clients and servers per business and IT requirements.

  • Partners with product managers to verify business needs and requirements that must be met by the applications and solutions

  • Accountable for working with Business Process Owner (BPO), IT Security, IT Infrastructure, andcompliance teams to ensure the solution meets all policy and regulatory requirements

  • Provide technical guidance to projects, teams and service providers, ensuring that new initiatives that have endpoint dependencies or configuration management needs are appropriately enabled

  • Research, recommend and pilot tools and process changes in order to drive quality and efficiency across the solution development lifecycle

  • Act as a thought leader on industry trends on emerging cloud-enabled system management capabilities for potential use at Gilead

  • Lead and collaborate effectively with a geographically distributed team

  • Develop and maintain standards and policies related to the environment

  • Document solutions and operating procedures and train personnel on executing in accordance with the procedures

  • Create Solution Design, System Configuration, etc. deliverables in collaboration with other teams

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Degree and Twelve Years Experience OR Associate's Degree and Ten Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Eight Years Experience OR Masters Degree and Six Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have 8+ years of relevant experience

  • Extensive experience with various system management technologies including MicrosoftEndpoint Manager & Intune, Druva,Ivanti, andPowerBI

  • Experience withvirtualization andcloud platforms including AWS and Microsoft Azure

  • Thorough understanding of cloud technologies, market trends and the broader ecosystem including server, storage and security considerations

  • Working knowledge with AD/AzureAD, Windows OS management and deployment, and core networking fundamentals

  • 2+ years participating in and management of Cloud based software releases, systems integration, and/or agile basedsoftware development projects (Eg: Scrum or Kanban)

  • Exposure to CFR 21 Part 11, Computer System Validation andGxPcompliance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Self-motivated, customer and delivery focused

  • Industry in Pharmaceutical/Life Science industries is a plus
