Barnard Castle Lead Site Finance Partner

We are searching for a Lead Site Finance Partner for Barnard Castle who can make a positive difference to the team, site and GSK as a whole and who can inspire others to do the same. WHAT IS YOUR JOB PURPOSE?
You will be the primary Finance interface to the business, part of the site leadership team, providing decision support, insight, counselling and challenge, driving simplification and implementation of best practices, delivering financial management, governance and compliance, reviewing talent management and proactively identifying internal/ external opportunities.

You will have the management of a team of three (3) embedded Finance partners.

WHAT ARE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES?
• You will provide leadership and opinion/financial analysis to Site Director and Site Leadership team in line with leadership expectations and by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks.
• You will ensure adherence to challenging financial targets by close financial management. Drive and support strategic transformation goals for site, embedding productivity improvements and a lean culture to deliver cost reduction & working capital initiatives
• You will lead the standard cost process, providing input into SMAS and deal directly with markets on costs, actual and estimates for new products.
• You will lead the preparation and submission of Plan, (Including capital plan) and Latest estimate data into the relevant system. Manage monthly reporting, budgets, plans and forecasts/Latest estimates (LE) and provide commentary on key variances/business drivers and any actions required.
• You will have the ability to manage the financial targets that are allocated to site in terms of P&L, Balance Sheet and Working capital.
• You will lead the process on educating customer groups on financial aspects of business decisions and resource allocations; provide tools they can use to be self-sufficient in routine, regular decision making.
• You will support capital flows to ensure that investments are aligned with business strategy, generate adequate returns on investment and promote proper management.
• You will prove the comprehension of the supply chain management model and value stream thinking to ensure a holistic business perspective
• You will proactively identify business opportunities and be capable of effectively assessing and proposing valid options to management, including strategic analysis on internal and external benchmark/funding data
• You will be accountable for risk identification and maintaining strong financial governance/compliance, including ICFW requirements.
• You will be responsible for quarterly judgment report decision making and year-end management certification, evaluation (not reporting), and nonstandard financial analysis and management reporting
• You will manage and support implementation of working capital, treasury and tax strategies in consultation with Corporate and Centres of Excellence
• You will build capabilities across finance partner and develop key talent for succession planning. Ensuring that the PDP are performed at regularly intervals to enable the development of the team. Display the behaviors that encourage good team management, i.e. ensuring that feedback is provided at regularly intervals
• You will ensure proactive and effective coordination across interfaces with Key Internal partners/groups to anticipate impact of business unit decisions on other GSK areas

Why You?Basic qualifications:
• Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, MBA, or local equivalent)
• Significant post qualification experience in a senior Finance role
• Strong verbal and written English language skills
• Understanding of systems and processes as they affect the financial results
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Finance Partnering capabilities of driving partnership, questioning & challenging & catalyst for change and stewardship and governance.
• Experience working with senior client groups with ability to influence and challenge positively with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated business skills with integrity and independent judgment to understand the underlying business drivers
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and working in a global organisation across a matrix environment and non-financial individuals
• Proven team builder
• Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by creation of a network of key partners within Finance and the business and the ability to bridge communications gap between finance and non-finance
• Ability to prioritise multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and apply project management skills
• Experience working in business / functional unit
• Demonstrated business skills executed with integrity and independent commercial judgment
