Packaging Operations

We are currently seeking Packaging Technicians to join our Manufacturing site at Worthing, West Sussex.

We have opportunities to join our Orals manufacturing team working on either our 2 Shift Pattern, or Working nights.

2 Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 7am - 2.15pm / 2pm - 10pm (Rotating)
Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 9.45pm - 7 am

What will the role look like?

GSK's Worthing site, the home of Augmentin. At Worthing, our focus is to manufacture and supply the broad-spectrum antibiotic, Augmentin as oral tablets, suspensions and sterile injectable dose forms. The site has a complex operation with two orals manufacturing areas, two packing areas with 12 lines, a bulk sterile manufacturing plant and two vial filling lines. Together, our dedicated team makes, tests and supplies more than 65 million packs of oral and sterile antibiotics to patients around the World each year.

In this role you will be responsible for carrying out packaging activities in compliance with all Quality & Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements for production in our Oral Value Stream.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring products are produced to the required standard and specification within a given timescale
• Ensuring full compliance with EHS & Quality requirements in any activities completed
• Involvement in continuous improvement within team that deliver benefit to OVS and support site objectives
• Completion of any relevant technical, compliance and competency training required for the role
• Accurate records and documentation are prepared and maintained relating to materials, products and equipment
• Ensure all aspects of housekeeping in the workplace are maintained, ensuring environment is safe and compliant
• Wearing safety equipment where required ie RPE and PPE

Preferred qualifications:

• Mechanical knowledge
• Motivation for learning and development
• Experience of working within a manufacturing environment would be desirable
