Facilities Manager

Pay: $130000 - $150000 / year + 10% target bonus

Schedule: M-F; 8a - 5p, on-call as needed

Location: San Jose, CA (on-site)

Under direction of the Senior Facilities Manager, the Facilities Manager will be the single point of contact responsible for facilities management across several buildings within the region, with the primary focus of a client-owned commercial facility located in San Jose, CA. A strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, health, safety, security, and environmental practices, as well as maintenance and repair activities for an owned facility, is needed. The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction by maintaining high standards and meeting their specific needs. They are committed to delivering exceptional service, aligning operations with client goals, ensuring seamless integration, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Additionally, experience in supervising and/or deep familiarity with warehouse and inventory logistics is highly valued. They should possess the ability to navigate contract and service discussions with senior-level clients, as well as guide and lend managerial support to contract discussions pertaining to workplace and vendor arrangements.

  • Lead aspects of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) by providing leadership, responsiveness, and creativity that develops and maintains a positive client relationship.
  • Strong working knowledge of health, safety, security, and environmental practices, as well as building systems, compliance, preventative maintenance schedules, and repair and maintenance activities for large, owned facilities.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to measure and optimize facility performance.
  • Oversee the implementation of short and long-term projects guided by the client's objective to reduce short and long-term operating costs.
  • Drive client corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and identify ways to increase sustainable practices.
  • Contribute to the account's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring sites are receiving quality service and staying on budget.
  • Support Operational Compliance Program (OCP) completion and health, safety, security, and environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Maintenance management - Ensure data accuracy of computerized maintenance management system.

Desired experience and technical skills:

Required:

  • 5+ years of facility management experience.

Preferred:

  • Background in logistics, warehouse.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
