Currently, we are seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to be part of our Global Controllers Organization located in Dallas, TX.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the company's SEC compliance efforts, including strategy, project planning, analysis of requirements, document support, preparation and review, and filings (e.g., 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, 11-K, etc.).
  • Conduct technical research as needed to support appropriate accounting treatment for financial and SEC reporting, prepare position papers and other documentation, as appropriate.
  • Manage the Corporate Financial Instructions (“CFIs”) policies repository, including drafting of new policies and ensuring existing policies are updated on a periodic basis.
  • Support activities of the global external auditors, including efforts to manage fees, streamline activities, research issues and ensure requests are filled.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and dissemination of periodic reports to the Audit Committee.
  • Provide project leadership to accounting and reporting related initiatives (e.g., adoption of new accounting standards and/or SEC rules and regulations, etc.).

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant accounting and reporting experience is necessary for this position.
  • Broad and expert knowledge of financial reporting, technical accounting, SEC reporting as well as SEC rules and regulations, and auditing principles.
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset to further the company's program of driving efficiency throughout the reporting process as well as an adaptable approach to effectively execute through change.
  • Experience in a multinational public company of similar size to Kimberly-Clark and/or a “Big 4” accounting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, and competing time demands, and strong oral, written, and presentation skills to deliver effective communications and presentations.
  • Ability to build trust with key customers and stakeholders and a desire to broaden his/her exposure and knowledge beyond the corporate office.
  • Educational requirements can be met by an undergraduate degree or better with a background in finance or accounting.
  • CPA is strongly preferred, and knowledge of Workiva and Hyperion Financial Management (“HFM”) systems is a plus.
