Associate Statistical Modeler
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Conduct statistical analysis and build predictive models for a variety of performance outcomes, such as risk, fraud, and collections for one or more markets including, but not limited to, insurance, credit, telecommunication, retail, and government. Utilize data mining, statistical methods, and multiple modeling/scoring techniques to conduct analysis and performance reports in support of existing and new product development, and/or customer sales. Develop analytic models, create and provide analysis code, and work with internal or external stakeholders to validate accuracy of production scoring code. Follow established best practices in statistical work, and assemble, merge, and parse large amounts of data to detect meaningful trends and patterns. Provide support for client inquiries regarding score calculations or other analytic output; understand analytic plans and follow these plans by identifying and executing the appropriate statistical or modeling technique; and clearly document and communicate analytic work and/or results. Perform other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field required.
- 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Also required is: 1 year of experience: creating reports and visualizations in standard software (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.); understanding and creating typical data steps to prepare and process data for analysis; executing standard coding for projects and processes to do the job successfully using company standard toolsets; performing basic project management of small-scale projects with overall planning and support from senior leaders; and using programming languages, including R, Python, C, Java, and SQL.
- Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
