About this team

The People Enablement Technology (PET) team is committed to enabling seamless, best in class experiences for our global workforce. Our team supports a fully integrated tech stack spanning Workday (Core HCM), Dayforce (Workforce Management), Avature (career site, applicant tracking & candidate relationship management), as well as Docebo (Enterprise Learning), and integrations to downstream partners for benefits administration, payroll, etc. From application and decisioning, to onboarding, development and separation - the PET team owns, supports, and delivers on the technologies that support lululemon's global workforce. Additionally, this team enables the use of all workforce and people data through our Unified Data Platform which is the organization's single source of truth for people related data to power analytics, data science, and associated capabilities that empower us to shorten decisioning cycles through data informed action.


A day in the life:


  • Lead the engineering team responsible for enabling access to workforce/people data in a secure, reliable, scalable way - supporting analytics, custom-apps/workflows, system integration and self-serve data access use cases
  • Partner closely with People Enablement Technology leadership team, key business partners and enterprise technology teams to drive strategy, prioritization & roadmaps to minimize technical debt while maximizing business outcomes
  • Drive strategy & approach for data lake & supporting integrations architecture in a multi-SAAS environment (i.e., Workday, Dayforce WFM, Docebo, Avature); driving prioritization / sequencing to optimize against investment opportunities and deliver on key business objectives while rapidly maturing our people/workforce data capability
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the business to drive governance; proactively driving security and data privacy standards
  • Mature the engineering & architecture practices across the People Enablement Technology (PET) portfolio
  • Grow and develop a full stack team responsible for delivery & support of key initiatives (includes engineering, architecture, project management, PowerBI developers, QA, technical program management, and analysts)
  • Champion innovation & automation; support with goals of rapid maturation and architectural containment by driving utilization of our Universal Data Platform (Databricks & Azure based) to solve multiple business problems/use cases
  • Active vendor and budget management of key software & services vendors to support delivery & sustainment


Qualifications:


  • 8+ years of experience enabling key business priorities through the successful delivery & support of technology, and 5+ years as a people leader overseeing a broad range of talent across multiple work locations
  • Experience leading engineering teams focused on seamless data integration leveraging modern architecture (Databricks , Snowflake)
  • Strong preference for those with experience with highly sensitive/confidential data leveraging encryption & security models
  • Cloud first management with a focus on data governance and security
  • Experience in managing complex delivery initiatives in highly dynamic, global organizations; with a preference for those with experience in retail or similar industry with blended and distributed workforce (i.e. mix of salary, hourly, contingent workers)
  • Proven track record in building & sustaining high performing team capable of driving technical modernization efforts in parallel to delivering on business commitments
  • Strong track record of managing external vendors and service providers
  • Experience driving adoption of technology through education, training, and other organizational change management strategies

Compensation and Benefits Package


lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $166,200-$218,200 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
