Associate Consultant - Actuarial
We are currently recruiting for an Associate Consultant to join the team in Leeds. We are looking for an individual with strong interest in pension actuarial work to take responsibility for the day to day management of clients.
You will provide support to an experienced team of qualified actuaries, attending client meetings and working on all aspects of actuarial consulting together.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide services across both Trustee and Corporate clients with a broad range of work and with client exposure right from the beginning.

You will be supporting across a broad range of areas, ensuring clients’ expectations are met, delivering the service personally and coordinating other services from specialists within Mercer.
You will ideally be a part-qualified actuary or a grad with a maths/economics-based degree, with some knowledge of pensions.

In this role you will :
Ensure that the quality of service provided to stakeholders is continuously high, ensuring there are effective arrangements in place to understand clients requirements and that compliance is in place with appropriate regulatory and statutory requirements.
You will deliver the highest quality service putting clients’ needs first whilst aiming to increase the revenue and profitability of those under your responsibility. You will also provide commercial work and actuarial services utilising the abilities of the team available. The size of clients typically ranges in size from 100 to 1000 members.
Work on ad-hoc calculations and projects driven by clients as routine calculations are outsourced.
You will ideally be at the start of your career as an actuary, with knowledge of the pensions industry.
You will be a good communicator and build relationships at all levels, with good analytical skills and written report writing skills.
