Sr Learning Specialist

Summarized Purpose:

Serves as a subject matter expert to design, develop, deliver, and improve learning products, programs, and services in order to proactively, measurably, and efficiently improve corporate readiness, performance, and quality.

Essential Functions:
  • Proactively collaborates with project and program leads and management to prepare, organize, coordinate, document, and/or provide expert development and delivery of learning products and services to maximize content retention and support business outcomes and industry compliance.
  • Develops varied support materials, presentations, training programs, tools, simulations, and/or micro learning components and modules to support the department's remit and strategy.
  • Leads small to medium scale initiatives and projects that mature key learning program capabilities and refine internal processes for the business and within the department.
  • Provides expertise by leading the design, development, and delivery of educational, training, and learning products and services for the business.
  • Provides coaching and mentoring of team members on best practices and adaptive methodologies supporting learning products and services.
  • In collaboration with management, may delegate appropriately scaled tasks to other team members.
  • Coordinates and delivers department-level meetings including pre-meeting, learning course, and project working group materials, facilities and communications per timeline milestones.
  • Performs special projects, assignments, and administrative tasks per business needs.

Job Qualification:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of project management standards and practices
  • Strong consultancy skills and ability to positively influence business outcomes
  • Comprehensive ability to translate complex issues into actionable and comprehensible business solutions
  • Close attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to deliver high quality work within project timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver learning products, services, and solutions in a collaborative and cross-functional global environment, with an understanding of the user perspective
  • Comprehensive computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, virtual training delivery platforms, and various learning design and development software
  • Extensive ability to query, compile, enter, track and maintain data and records management systems
  • Comprehensive oral presentation and written communication skills
