About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 09 About the Role: The Team: The Global Event Operations team supports the Marketing Team as they strive to positively influence pipeline, drive client engagement, and build the brand through creative marketing programs, differentiated channel management, and operational excellence on achieving their sales, renewal, and retention goals. We are a highly-collaborative, creative, dynamic, groundbreaking global team who work together on key initiatives to drive program content. Responsibilities and Impact: As a member of the Marketing Department, you will provide event operational support for S&P Global live and virtual events to a worldwide audience of customers and prospects. You will highlight the breadth of our brand, executing events that feature our essential intelligence while providing the best-in-class attendee experience. We are seeking an SR Specialist, Event Operations to support a portfolio of global events, primarily focusing on covering North America. The role will see you assist marketers and the commercial sales teams by coordinating logistics for our large portfolio of events. You will support the global events team by updating our internal event management system and keeping the event report system updated. Execute third party tradeshows and hosted conferences: Includes site selection, registration, attendee communications, audio visual, banqueting, technology, etc. Source, negotiate, and manage contracts and vendors Manage logistics at third party events, or hosted events, ensuring our brand is represented and leads have been obtained Manage sourcing of promotional items and inventory Keep track of event equipment inventory and manage the coordination between our team and vendor Manage the event registration process by using the available systems to build registration websites and communicate with registrants Support the marketing team in the creation of booth equipment, promotional items, and collateral Manage onsite registration and coordinate all onsite logistics such as catering and A/V needs with the venue Track and manage event budgets and conduct final expense reconciliation Effectively communicate with on-site staff and key stakeholders for all events Ensure customer expectations are at the center of the events we produce Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $51,289 to $105,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual bonus. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: 2-4 years of event planning experience preferred Bachelor's Degree preferred Mild to moderate travel, but the ability to do so if required Working knowledge of event registration system preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Must be able to manage multiple events in a fast-paced environment Proven administrative, organizational, and problem solving skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Additional Preferred Qualifications: Fluent knowledge and use of Cvent Registration System Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
