Salesforce is looking for an Associate Creative Director, Design, who will be responsible for overseeing creative direction for our content marketing experiences with a focus on 360 Blog, newsletter, and social media channels.

As the Content Marketing and Social ACD, you will be responsible for collaborating with our Brand, Content Marketing, and Social teams to create design standards, visual and content guidelines, and kit of parts to set up designers and practitioners across global teams — HQ, Clouds, Regions — for success. You will act as the ambassador for these and liaise with multiple creative and marketing teams to ensure that our blog and social communications are best-in-class, setting a standard for the industry.

You are a talented and seasoned Art Director/Designer and experienced leader, with deep expertise in creating a strategic and engaging brand and content experiences, from brand advertising to web design, to editorial design, to content marketing experiences and everything in between. You can skillfully manage and motivate a team of creatives, and still get hands-on creating designs and building creative assets.

You will be a part of our Digital Creative Center of Excellence, joining a team of seasoned digital writers and designers that establish visual and content guidelines across all of Salesforce’s digital touchpoints globally. Our team is comprised of experienced creators and storytellers, collaborating in a multifaceted work environment to create compelling and memorable work. The ACD will partner with, and report, to the Digital Creative Director.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide a vision for ongoing creative work across our content marketing and social channels.
  • Oversee direction and execution of creative to support daily blog publication
  • Work across disciplines to integrate content marketing and social content strategies and connect the dots with other channels: email, web, video, and ensure brand consistency across photography, illustration, motion graphics, and video.
  • Scale our creative and best practices across all social and editorial teams. Think globally.
  • Constantly elevate the quality of creative ideas and execution, and look for scalable solutions.
  • Proactively lead initiatives or programs that map to current brand campaigns.
  • Integrate strategies to ensure consistent storytelling and messaging across a variety of touchpoints, including but not limited to film, OOH, social, website, retail, events, and more.
  • Build relationships across brand, marketing, design, and web dev teams. Leverage relationships to inform problem-solving and improve creative output.
  • Act as a role model and mentor for creatives across our digital, social, and content orgs.
  • Inspire, enable, and help cultivate a culture of innovation, curiosity, and creativity.
  • Consciously lead and empathetically manage internal and external agency teams.
  • Work closely with our editorial and social teams to solve problems and foster a culture of innovation and growth.


Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of digital experience. Social and editorial experience is a must.
  • Leadership: You lead with a growth mindset and are a master of execution and strategic leadership. You can collaborate with our partners across orgs and build relationships to help get the job done well. Your communication skills can be adapted across all teams to help bring others along on our adventure.
  • Innovation and Craftsmanship: You can guide in-house designers and external agencies to the perfect new way to tell a story while staying focused on the strategy and aligned with our overall ecosystem and brand.
  • Scale and Organization: Demonstrate experience with, and ability to manage multiple projects and aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced, oft-changing environment while keeping an eye on the big picture and top priorities. Proactively manage your, and the team’s, time. Always consider global rollouts and not just the needs of the immediate team.
  • Tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva
  • Hands-on motion graphics/animation experience and After Effects
