How will you make an impact?

Within the Material & Structural Analysis Division (in short MSD) Service organization, we support our customers by providing world class customer service on our Electron Microscopy products. That means we have to prepare our service engineers the best we can by providing a training program that enables them to best serve our customers. New service engineers enter a new hire training program, offered by our training organization called EM-University. The program is in constant development, through intensive feedback from our new hires and their managers.

This internship is crafted for students working towards Master's degree in Educational Technology, Communication, Computer Science or other related field, with a strong emphasis on adult learning, or a similar degree.

What will you do?

This internship offers hands-on experience in a variety of areas including instructional design for adult learners, communication and multi-media development. You will be a member of the global EM-University team to support innovative training projects.

Some of the key activities are:

  • Collect and process feedback from learners on learning programs

  • Promote EM-University's training offering to our internal audience

  • Build engaging learning materials based on learner's needs

How will you get here?

  • Currently enrolled student completing Master's degree in one of the above mentioned areas

  • Excellent communication skills in English. Being able to clearly communicate in a cross functional, matrixed environment at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to navigate multiple reporting systems and tools

  • Proficient digital literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • Deliver presentation to groups of 5 - 20 employees

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong didactical background

  • Experience in training adult learners

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a broad variety of audiences

  • Organizational and time leadership skills
