Broker - Willis Re Specialty - Property

Summary of Role 

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior or developing Broker to join the Willis Re Specialty Property division based in London, the portfolio of business covers Property D&F, Onshore Energy, Political Risk and Credit, Crisis Management and Accident and Health. The role will be to service existing clients and support growth of the business stream. 

The Role
  • Business development and Client Relationship management
  • Provide support and assistance to senior leaders and production team on all aspects of Willis Re’s engagement with its clients
  • Provide support for new business production across the regions / BU with a focus on agreed revenue targets and budgets
  • Provide support to leaders to allow them to enhance senior market relationships with prospects, clients and markets
  • Gather Client needs and preferences
  • Create client presentations
  • Ensure effective and up to date delivery of Client Service to Clients in all aspects of the Placement and Broking
  • Effective negotiations with overseas and London markets
  • Produce accurate and updated renewal information for client base
  • Adhere to standardised Group policies and procedures including all CEM and other regulatory requirements
  • Maintenance of slip through the quote and placement process
The Requirements 
  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards the ACII qualification.
  • Existing track record in Reinsurance Broking or Underwriting
  • A good knowledge of the reinsurance market and offering in order to address client and technical issues
  • Experience dealing with reinsurance clients, adapting communication techniques as appropriate
  • Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient on Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative
  • Can effectively cope with change, builds constructive and effective relationships with customers and is dedicated to meeting expectations and requirement
  • Comfortable explaining complex concepts and making recommendations to clients/client servicing
  • Ability to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues and underwriters
  • Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness, complying at all times with regulatory requirements
  • Analytically competent would be a benefit
