Summary of Role
As a Lead Investment Advisor you will be responsible for the quality of the advice and services, delivered to a portfolio of predominantly trust-based Defined Contribution pension plan clients, together with the promotion of our investment services and solutions to existing clients and prospects.

You will be a member of our Advisory Investment Services team, which represents an important part of the Global Investment line of business, giving you the opportunity to broaden your portfolio to advise defined benefit and non-pension clients.
The Role
  • Lead a number of investment advisory relationships, with your clients being predominantly trust-based Defined Contribution pension plans
  • Responsible for the quality of services delivered to your clients. Our services include advise on investment strategy, manager selection and transitions together the provision of ongoing monitoring and investment governance services
  • Promotion of investment services and solutions to WTW clients and prospects
  • Development of more junior colleagues through effective mentoring and coaching 
  • Opportunity to broaden your advisory relationships into defined benefit or non-pension clients 
The Requirements
  • Significant experience of advising defined contribution pension scheme trustees on investment matters, including a strong working knowledge of the current UK regulatory environment. 
  • Ability to demonstrate strategic investment thinking to improve the outcomes for members.
  • An understanding of the broader issues in the governance of DC pension plans.
  • Good technical investment knowledge, covering a range of asset classes (e.g. qualified actuary or CFA).
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and deliver accurately on time, often within short timescales.
  • Good oral and written communication/presentational skills.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to work successfully in cross-LOB teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and to build strong networks in the investment and retirement practices.
  • Willingness to support and guide investment and retirement colleagues on defined contribution investment matters.
