The Company

The Asset Management Exchange ("EURoeAMX"EUR ) is an independent institutional asset management marketplace designed to fundamentally transform institutional investment for the benefit of the end saver. The managed funds platform was launched in 2017. Already it allows asset owners to invest more efficiently in hedge funds and smart beta allocations with third party managers, and will include global equities and fixed income from late 2018, and will continue to expand across all asset classes over time. It is creating a smarter, easier and cheaper way to connect asset owners to those who manage their money.

AMX is a start-up business within a large corporate. Meaning that the team is able to benefit from all of the advantages and resources of Willis Towers Watson, while rapidly developing its own value proposition for clients and its own brand. The dedicated team has over 50 people split across 3 sites.

The Business

AMX has had a successful launch year and has now entered a growth phase that will be heavily supported by the digital platform. The Investor and Manager Portal is a core component of the value proposition and the CRM solution is a key enabler of the sales process. The digital platform team, therefore, has an important role to ensure the client experience reflects the brand values by providing a stable, secure platform and ensuring that all users experience excellent client service across digital and traditional channels.

The digital platform team is responsible for both supporting excellence in client service and for maintaining the day to day discipline of our infrastructure "EUR" AMX Portal, CRM and future IT solutions. The team ensures AMX is reliable, secure, and compliant and with that delivers an exceptional digital client experience. This involves responsibility for client service, technology infrastructure management, data & analytics and oversight & controls.
The Role 
As Head of Business Development you will be responsible the growth of the business "EUR" meaning an increase in AUM and revenue. You will be expected to provide leadership to the Sales, Marketing, Client On-boarding and Client Experience functions. The role is currently filled by the Global Head of AMX and the team is being built, meaning that there is significant flexibility in shaping it to suit the successful candidate but that a lot of creativity and flexibility will be required.

The role will report directly to the Global Head of AMX and you will be a member of the management team. Given the entrepreneurial nature of the business you will be working closely with the wider AMX team.

Initial will include:
"EUR- Take over the leadership of the Business Development Steering Group
"EUR- Develop the messaging, pitch and commercials
"EUR- Continue to build an appropriately resourced team
"EUR- Explore partnership opportunities to provide quicker scale to AMX
Ongoing duties will include:
"EUR- Developing the business development strategy and setting objectives to achieve the strategy
"EUR- Leading the business development team towards the objectives
"EUR- Establishing and building on relationships with institutional investors and managers in order to continually build the platform in terms of number of clients and strategies offered on the platform
"EUR- Commercial negotiation of fees and other commercial and key terms relevant to the manager and their "EURoemembership"EUR of the AMX platform
"EUR- Building on existing non-WTW investment client relationships in order to on-board further assets or other funds and strategies that the clients may have
"EUR- "EURoeMarketing"EUR the AMX offering in the institutional investor and investment manager world more broadly "EUR" conference speaking, interviews etc
"EUR- Ensuring appropriate handovers of clients between areas like sales, on-boarding, client management, issue escalation and resolution.
"EUR- Ensuring the team are effectively using the CRM system drive management reporting and valuable insight for decision making
"EUR- Set compensation goals
The Requirements 
"EUR- Demonstrable success in a sales/distribution role at a senior level in the asset management or asset servicing industry
"EUR- Able to forge relationships and credibility quickly and effectively
"EUR- Able to build a business in an entrepreneurial environment
"EUR- A leader, who will engage and communicate effectively with senior business leaders, drawing on strong business acumen
"EUR- Self-motivated and organised with ability to manage and prioritise multiple opportunities simultaneously
"EUR- Team player who is flexible and adaptable across a range of tasks.
