Reinsurance Actuary

This role will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for Willis Re senior actuaries in their work for clients and prospects.

The Role

Account Analysis & Support:
  • Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy.
  • Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
  • Provide value-added service to clients as needed.
  • Market Research and Development
  • Assist senior actuaries in market and line of business studies to credentialize Willis Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
  • Work closely with other analytical associates across Willis Re
  • Including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates.

The Requirements 
  • ACAS, FCAS or near ACAS
  • 5 to 10 years in P&C actuarial role(s)
  • Ideally including experience in reinsurance or primary pricing roles
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with stochastic modeling a plus
  • Experience with/knowledge of property cat models a plus
