Join us for an inspiring event that celebrates Trans Day of Visibility and Women’s History Month, presented by JPMorgan Chase in collaboration with myGwork. Our panelists will share personal narratives that highlight the importance of creating equitable spaces for all women and gender-expansive individuals and practical tips for allies.

These outstanding individuals will discuss their journeys, including Tate's experience transitioning in a corporate environment, Amanda's reflections on trans joy, Jessica's experience with intersectionality, and Karla's insights on allyship and advocacy from an HR perspective.

In addition to being a public speaker and D&I consultant, Michelle is also an accomplished musician who performs under the artist name ‘Michi.’ She has graced the stage with some of the biggest names in music today including Miley Cyrus, Meghan Trainor, DJ Marshmello, Rita Ora, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

    Tate is an award-winning trans activist, consultant, and speaker, passionate about trans male visibility, educating others and debunking common myths surrounding trans people. Tate's accolades include being named one of Attitude Magazine's 10 LGBTQ+ Trailblazers To Watch Out For In The Future, selected as a LinkedIn Top Voice and recognised as one of 50 Champions of Inclusion on the Diversity Power List. In 2022, he was nominated for PinkNews' Community Role Model. Tate has worked with a number of organisations including Barclays, Unilever, Science Museum and National Student Pride. With his unique 'Lunch and Learn' format, Tate has discussed his medical transition, sexism in the workplace, the effects of testosterone, intersectionality, family and workplace acceptance, toxic masculinity, men's mental health, menopause, male privilege and more. His work across corporates and charities has seen him become a prominent and influential voice who champions the trans community.     Karla Arnaiz is the HR Country Head for Mexico and Head of Talent Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) for Latin America, Canada and Bahamas region. She joined JP Morgan in May 2015 as HR Country Head for Mexico and LATAM Head of Diversity and Inclusion. She is responsible end-to-end for the HR function in Mexico. Her role was expanded to lead the Talent Development function for the region in 2017 and continued to expand to include Learning and Development management for LATAM, Canada and Bahamas at the beginning of 2020. As the current Head of Talent Development and DEI for the region, Karla and her team are responsible to deliver high quality and impact training and programs to further the region’s DEI agenda. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Karla worked for 15 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and started her career in the financial industry at Bank of Boston (Fleet Boston), always as HR Country Head. As HR Country Head in Mexico, she was part of the Mexico leadership team that carried out the mergers of Fleet Boston with Bank of America, as well as Bank of America with Merrill Lynch. She started her career in the Automotive Industry, as quality manager in a group of Ford dealers. Karla was the Chairman of the Education Committee at the American Chamber from 2005 to 2009 and Charmain of the foreign Banks HR Committee in the Mexican Bank Association from 2012 to 2020. Currently she is a member of the HRC and Equidad MX Board in Mexico. Karla holds a B.A. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in International Business from Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (TEC-CEM) and has a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

    Dr Amanda Walker is a Technology Program Manager with a passion for delivering technology change. She has worked across several industries, and has 20 years’ experience running projects and motivating teams. Amanda is a diversity advocate and role model who has achieved external recognition for her work promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace. She was co-chair of the JP Morgan LGBTQ+ network for several years before founding and leading the firm’s Gender Expansive Council. The GEC provides advocacy, mentoring, employee education, recruiter training, transition support, parental support, and career events as well as driving health benefits and gender-inclusive technology. Amanda is a parent of three young adults and enjoys playing and watching football. She is a qualified football coach and played in the historic match where TRUK United fielded the first ever team of transwomen.
