ODL trip to see Screening of Under Your Nose
Southwark LGBT network and Southwark Heritage are hosting a screening of ‘Under Your Nose’, a documentary about the ground breaking Black Lesbian and Gay Centre that was based in Peckham. 33 years ago a group of activists came together with one aim – to open a centre for the BME LGBT community in London. Against the backdrop of 1980s politics, Thatcherism, and burgeoning gay rights, 'Under Your Nose' celebrates those trailblazing human rights workers whose political legacy is still apparent today. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and organisers of the centre. We have limited free tickets so please only book if you can come.
