Pride in Education 5 Stronger Together
One day hybrid event providing
practical tools for LGBTIQA+ inclusion in education
About this event
Pride in
Education is back for its fifth conference and this time we are having a hybrid
event, so people can either join in-person or online.
The programme
aims to support anyone working or with an interest in making the education
sector more inclusive, from primary to university with a focus on LGBTIQA+
lives and issues.
This year we are
welcoming the founders of LGBT+ History Month. In the UK, Professor Sue Sanders
and in the USA, Rodney Wilson. The conference offers a range of live panel
discussions, presentations and workshops and looks at super diverse identities
intersectionality.
Face to face
delegates will also be able to browse the stalls, buy resources for their
schools or commission further training.
The earlier
sessions focus on the UK contexts and the later part of the day have
contributions from international contributors.
The event
finishes with a networking reception with a bar and entertainment with the
LGBT+ Poet Laureate, Poet PJ Samuels , Blouse the Drag Queen and other surprise
guests
The conference
has over 25 contributors spread over 15 sessions
Price includes (in person delegates only)
- Full day of presentations and panel
discussions
- Access to stalls from inclusive
organisations
- Networking opportunities with peers
- Vegan lunch
- Two free drinks at the evening reception
- A goody back with resources from Pearson, a free Pop'n'Olly of 'What does LGBT+ mean' and many other surprises.
