Pride Matters in Tech: Join a Transgender & Non-Binary experience in tech listening session
We believe that organisations are responsible for promoting an inclusive environment in which everyone, including transgender & non-binary employees, feels welcomed and can thrive. The current climate faced by members of this community globally is incredibly difficult and businesses must play a role in creating safe spaces and providing support.
To gain a better understanding of the experiences transgender and
non-binary employees are having in the technology sector and to be able to
improve inclusion, a number of organisations from the tech industry, led by
Colt Technology Services, Oracle and Service now, are organising a virtual
‘listening session’.
This 90-minute session will be conducted on 8 June 2023,
10-11.30 am UK time and hosted by Coda Galabov
(they/them) from DEI consultancy, INvolve People.
So, if you identify as transgender and/or non-binary, please sign up
for the session here.
The discussion will be centred around themes such as:
· Attraction and onboarding
· Inclusive benefits and policies
· Transition support and post-transition
experience
· Safe spaces and the ability to challenge
· Overall culture
There will be the opportunity to join the session without screens
and names on display.
How will my feedback be used?
All feedback will be anonymised from an individual and company
perspective. Key themes will be shared during a roundtable with industry
decision-makers focused on improving inclusion and support for the transgender
and non-binary community within the technology sector. The roundtable will take
place on 6 July. If you are interested in attending the Roundtable, please get
in touch with [email protected].
