We hope you will enjoy listening to them as much as we did!

The Proud Parent Club

The Proud Parent Club is an inclusive podcast and community for LGBTQ+ parents and future LGBT parents. Sanjay Sood-Smith (he/him) is joined by different guests each week to discuss all aspects of family building and LGBT parenting for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer people. Sanjay and his husband Doug became parents through surrogacy and before starting their journey spent a lot of time researching the different ways that LGBTQ+ people become parents. These topics will be explored by talking to experts and people from across the LGBTQ+ community who have taken different routes to becoming parents including adoption, surrogacy in different countries, co-parenting, IUI, IVF, reciprocal IVF, solo-parenting, and having children before coming out.

Pride in Birth

Pride in Birth brings together for the first time academic and medical research about LGBTQ+ people’s experiences of conception, pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period. In each episode, Mari will talk to a different researcher, finding out what questions about LGBTQ+ pregnancy they were asking, how they went about finding answers, and what they discovered. Guests include professors, obstetricians, midwives, psychiatrists, and academic researchers. The podcast will explain some of the issues LGBTQ+ people face when they start a family, helping to reduce isolation amongst LGBT+ new and expectant parents, and aiming to help those caring for them to improve the services they provide.

2 Birds & A Baby

2 Birds & A Baby is a weekly audio diary of Emma Goswell and her partners' personal adventures as LGBT parents. This podcast follows their journey of what it’s like to raise their IVF baby born with down’s syndrome and a heart condition. Expect laughter, tears, and lots and lots of references to dirty nappies!

Queer Families Podcast

The Queer Families Podcast, If These Ovaries Could Talk, is about making babies and non-traditional families. Queer parents Jaimie Kelton and E Bradshaw humorously go in-depth with weekly guests about their hopes, fears, and setbacks. The mission is to normalize, elevate and celebrate, while confirming that we're just like other parents, trying not to yell at our kids when they still haven't put their shoes on and we're 25 minutes late for school. The end result is a compelling podcast that amusingly explores the age-old question: what's it like to live as an LGBTQ family in a world built for the straights?

A fantastic podcast dubbed by review as a guide on ‘how to come out to your Indian parents’. When Hema first realized she was gay a few years ago after immigrating to the U.S., she knew had to tell her mom. But the conversation didn’t go well. Hema’s mom lives in India and is convinced being gay is a Western phenomenon. So how does Hema help her mom accept her for who she is? In this episode of How To!, they bring in Sonali Gulati, a professor, filmmaker and queer rights activist who made a documentary about the parents of LGBTQ+ people in India. Drawing from her own personal experience, Sonali helps Hema figure out the best way to frame the conversation with her mom. One tip? Speak your parents’ language to explain how your life fits their definition of success.
