Earth Day offers us the opportunity to amplify our passion for the planet

In what ways do you believe Earth Day and environmental awareness are important in our society? How do they contribute to creating a more sustainable and eco-friendly future? 

While we can be champions for the environment year-round, Earth Day offers us the opportunity to amplify our passion for the planet by inviting our families, friends, neighbors and colleagues to join us in working towards a greener tomorrow. Small actions – like turning off the water when you brush your teeth – can have a HUGE impact when they are combined with the actions of others. 

Can you provide an example where you felt a strong sense of impact and positive change as an advocate for Earth Day? How did this experience influence your dedication to environmental conservation and sustainability? 

Having worked within Sustainability for some time, I am always the most inspired when I see the cumulation of impact and positive change from asking my colleagues to join me in taking action on Earth Day. Watching the numbers climb on bags of trash collected around our global offices or seeing photos of my co-workers out enjoying nature has increased my dedication to this work. 

In what ways do you promote and advocate for Earth Day outside of your organization or community? Are there any collaborative projects or campaigns that you actively participate in? 

I advocate for Earth Day and the planet every time I go on hikes with my family in nature. I ask my children to stop and appreciate beautiful views with me and remind them that – when we take care of the environment – we can share these memories for a lifetime.
