Today, we hear from Ashleigh, who joined HCA Healthcare ITG Service Desk in March 2019, becoming a Team Lead in September 2022.

“I have a real passion for helping people and love technology, so this career path just made sense to me. ​​​I strive to continue progressing in my career as a leader.

“I am a Mental Health First Aider and Welsh speaker. Try and pronounce the village I grew up in, Tremeirchion! I am also part of my local rugby team as my son inspired me to join when I was about to turn 29.

“Pride is about being proud of who you are. It's about love, acceptance, and celebration. It's about educating others to create a happier and safer world for the next generations to come. It's about remembering those who fought for our liberation in the Stonewall riots.

“HCA UK have created active committees dedicated to advancing equality and diversity. I have been a part of the HCA UK Pride committee since June 2021 and look forward to where the future takes us.

“The committee meets every month to discuss how we can continue to create an organisation where everyone feels accepted and valued.”
