Lady Gaga Calls Out Mike Pence in the Middle of Performance

Lady Gaga took aim at the White House, pausing in the middle of a performance to call out President Trump and Vice President Pence for their anti-LGBT+ views, reports the Guardian.

While singing “Million Reasons” at the MGM Park Theatre in Las Vegas, Lady Gaga stopped and talked to the audience, calling out Trump for the government shutdown, which is forcing government workers to work without pay: “If the f***ing president of the United States could please put our government back … there are people who live pay check to pay check and need their money.”

She then called out Mike Pence, whose wife recently made headlines when it was discovered she has taken a job at a school that openly bans LGBT+ students.

“And to Mike Pence, who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife works at a school that bans LGBTQ—you’re wrong,” she said.

“You say we should not discriminate against Christianity.

“You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian.”
