Leaders in Technology - Meet Agnes Kwong

Agnes Kwong is our Senior Technology Manager, Tech Corporate Finance Systems, who is based out of our Burrard Store Support Centre in Vancouver, BC.

How long have you worked at lululemon and what does your role entail?  

I have been with lululemon for almost 10 years. I am a CPA and have a background in financial ERP systems. I was brought in to help launch the Oracle EBS ERP Financial System as a Business Analyst and then to eventually lead the team. I’ve been part of our modernization & transformation journey as we’ve grown globally, which has been very exciting. In my role as a Senior Technology Manager, Corporate Finance & Legal Systems, I oversee a suite of applications which is integral to the organization such as Oracle EBS financial suite, Vertex O Series (tax application), Coupa Source to Pay, Coupa Expense, Helios Expense, and Lucernex real estate life cycle management. 

How do lululemon's IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action) commitments show up in your work? 

Personally, I feel empowered to speak from the heart and actively create a space for others to collaborate in a safe and comfortable environment where all voices and ideas are heard and considered. Through differing viewpoints and collaborations, we reach alignment and conclusions together. 

What has been your proudest moment and/or project to date that you’ve worked on at lululemon? 

We upgraded lululemon’s Financial ERP (Oracle EBS) application to 12.2.10 & database to 19c, as well as migrated to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). It took almost 2 years to deploy and involved multiple vendors and cross functional teams to get it across the finish line. Cut-over took 9 days to complete which is an indication of project complexity. It all went smoothly, and I am proud to say that we have accomplished what few large organizations have by implementing all three-upgrade milestones in one project. 

What is your favorite part about working on the Technology team at lululemon? 

The fast-paced nature of the projects, as it keeps me busy and motivated! It is also very satisfying working with a team who are results-driven and passionate about the initiatives we take on.
