Madonna Set to Perform at Eurovision
Pop superstar Madonna is set to perform at the Eurovision finale in Tel Aviv on May 18, reports Haaretz.
Madonna’s set is reportedly going to be paid by Canadian-Israeli billionaire Sylvan Adamswho is engaged in “round-the-clock” negotiations with the singer’s representatives.
Madonna reportedly wanted to sing a new song with greater political undertones, but was discouraged by organisers of the event.
“Adams believes that the participation of an artist like Madonna in this year’s show will significantly increase the exposure and media coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest itself and the corresponding events… as well as of the wonderful people and beauty of the State of Israel,” said Adams’ business associate Danny Ben Naim.
