Restaurant where all the waitresses are drag queens opening in Liverpool

February 25, 2024

The opening date of an exciting new addition to Liverpool’s Pride Quarter has been confirmed.

Dorothy's Diner promises to "offer more of an experience than any other restaurant” as customers will be served by drag queens. The 1950s American-themed diner will offer everything from burgers and fries to pizza and milkshakes.

The twist for customers comes as they will be served and waited on by drag artists who will act as hosts and interact with guests throughout the evening.

Alexia Moldovan, a spokesperson for the company, told the Liverpool Echo: “Located in the heart of Liverpool, Dorothy's Diner promises to serve up sass with a side of classlessness, all while delivering American diner-inspired cuisine.

“We're all about pushing boundaries and tantalizing taste buds. Our drag queens will wear their most glamorous frocks to serve you with flair and style, ensuring every visit is a show-stopping event. It's not just dining, it's a spectacle.”

The safe-space venue will be opening on Friday, March 29 and will be a sister site to Dorothy’s Showbar on Victoria Street. Management confirmed everyone is welcome until 8pm, but after that, under-18s must be accompanied by an adult.
