Unveiling neurodiversity: exploring late diagnoses and embracing differences
Interviews
To commemorate Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Manoj Mansuria from Santander discusses
the impact of receiving a late diagnoses, and how to embrace differences in the workplace and beyond.
Neurodiversity is a concept that recognises and celebrates the natural variation in human brain function and behaviour. It emphasizes the idea that neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other conditions, are simply variations of the human brain rather than deficits or disorders. Embracing neurodiversity means acknowledging the unique strengths, talents, and perspectives that neurodivergent individuals bring to society, and advocating for environments that support their needs and facilitate their success.
It encourages a shift away from a one-size-fits-all approach to education, work, and social interaction, towards a more inclusive and equitable world where everyone can thrive regardless of their neurological differences.
