About Kennedys

Kennedys is a global law firm with expertise in dispute resolution and advisory services. With over 2,500 people worldwide across 44 offices in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and America we have some of the most respected legal minds in their field. 🌍

Our lawyers handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, and provide a range of specialist legal services, for many industry sectors but we have particular expertise in litigation and dispute resolution, especially in defending insurance and liability claims.

We’re a fresh-thinking firm, and we’re not afraid to bring challenging new perspectives to the table way beyond the traditional realm of legal services. We empower our clients with a diverse range of ideas, tools and technology to make their lives easier, as well as delivering exceptional results, every time.

Working at Kennedys is exciting, fast paced and varied. We recognise that it is important for you to have a work life balance that allows you the flexibility to live your life. This is possible with our hybrid working policy which will allow you, unless your role requires you to be office based, to enjoy a split of home and office working. We also have a “dress for your day” dress code encouraging you to dress casually whenever possible.

To help us develop our distinct culture and as part of our commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, we have created global and regional diversity and inclusion employee groups. The groups meet regularly to share ideas, discuss new initiatives and advise on what more we could be doing.

Our corporate social responsibility strategy and commitments are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which provide us with the framework that can drive action and deliver on our CSR goals. In our quest to create a sense of shared purpose, we actively encourage colleagues to join our growing network of CSR champions to take part in events such as sporting fundraisers, virtual hackathons and pro bono initiatives to champion a better future for our people, our clients and our planet.

Working at Kennedys

Working at Kennedys is exciting, fast paced and varied. We recognise that it is important for you to have a work life balance that allows you the flexibility to live your life. This is possible with our hybrid working policy which will allow you, unless your role requires you to be office based, to enjoy a split of home and office working. When we are working in the office, to ensure we are always approachable, one of our core values, many of our offices are open plan with break out social areas and rooms available for meetings. We also have a “dress for your day” dress code encouraging you to dress casually whenever possible. 👟

Providing a healthy working environment and improving the quality of people's working life is of the utmost importance to Kennedys. We aim to promote and support our people's physical, mental and financial wellbeing through a number of wellbeing events and initiatives. We have a range of interventions and resources intended to support everyone. Since October 2021 everyone at the firm is offered a Wellbeing Day which they can take anytime during the year.

“At Kennedys, we work in a global and diverse work environment where solidarity, flexibility and teamwork are promoted. It’s a place where colleagues and managers are approachable, where each person can express their ideas openly and where every individual can feel safe. We all have a voice and Kennedys is the perfect loudspeaker.” (Irene Moreno Garrido, Associate at Kennedys)

Diversity & Inclusion at Kennedys

We are proud that Kennedys is made up of individuals who come from all over the world and bring with them their own cultures, identities, languages, backgrounds and experiences. We embrace, value and celebrate difference because we understand that diverse perspectives and experiences help us solve the toughest challenges and make us a better law firm. 🎉 We understand that it is important to represent the diversity of our people, our clients and our communities, and to create an inclusive culture in which everyone, regardless of their background, identity or circumstance, can be themselves and thrive at work.

To help us develop our distinct culture and as part of our commitment to promoting a fair, diverse and equitable workplace, we created global and regional diversity and inclusion employee groups. The groups meet regularly to share ideas, discuss new initiatives, provide feedback and advise on what more we could be doing. They also celebrate, educate and provide support to our colleagues and enhance our culture. 📚

But you can also get involved in D&I at Kennedys by volunteering as a mentor, taking part in D&I events as a speaker, host or organiser, or representing Kennedys at outreach events. All employees across the firm are encouraged to get involved where they can. You’ll be invited to our regular ‘Let’s start the conversation’ webinars with guest speakers covering topics such as mental health, Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ inclusion and Asperger syndrome. Diversity and inclusion is a priority at Kennedys. This is why we introduced D&I chargeable hour credit. This means that time you spend on D&I activities will be recognised and can count towards your chargeable hours target. 🕣

We work with a range of brilliant partners to ensure our opportunities are reaching everyone. They include organisations such as upReach, Aspiring Solicitors, Rare, the IICF and CareerTrackers.
