When Vodafone UK and Three UK completed their merger in May 2025, the combined business became the country's largest mobile network with an £11 billion network investment programme running over ten years. VodafoneThree, a myGwork partner, has 58 live roles on our platform — and a set of LGBTQ+ policies that are among the most specific in British business.
VodafoneThree's LGBTQ+ network is called Pride, sitting alongside networks for Black professionals and multiculture, gender equality, accessibility, parents and carers, and service leavers and veterans.
Vodafone was ranked 6th out of 246 organisations in Stonewall's Workplace Equality Index, the highest-placed telecoms company in the country, and its network group was Highly Commended. At group level Vodafone is a Stonewall Top Global Employer at Gold tier, one of only six organisations to hold that standing.
The policies behind the ranking are unusually concrete. Sixteen weeks of fully paid parental leave is available to all employees — and explicitly extended to all non-birthing parents regardless of gender, sexual orientation or length of service, across 24 markets. That covers same-sex couples, adoption and surrogacy without asking anyone to argue their case. Returning parents then work 30 hours a week on full pay for a further six months.
For trans and non-binary colleagues there is written transitioning guidance, gender dysphoria benefits, and a Trans & Non-binary toolkit for people coming out at work. There are monthly calls for trans community members, and — this is the one that is genuinely rare — separate monthly calls for parents of trans children. HR policies use gender-neutral language, the Mx title is available, and retail colleagues can wear rainbow name badges.
Ninian Wilson, CEO of Vodafone Procure & Connect and the group's Global LGBT+ Executive Sponsor, sums up the intent: "At Vodafone, we believe in creating a workplace where everyone can be their authentic selves."
In February 2026 VodafoneThree launched its first-ever combined apprenticeship programme, spanning Level 3 (IT support, pre-sales, field engineering), Level 4 (project management, network engineering, product management, commercial), Level 6 (data analytics, network engineering, AI and machine learning) and SCQF Level 8 network engineering in Scotland. Programmes run from 12 months to six years, fully funded, and are open to school leavers through to career changers. The graduate Future Leaders Programme runs Commercial and Technology streams on a hybrid basis.
