University Professor Faces Criticism After Asking If “Transphobic Lesbians” Can Be “Shaggable”
A professor at the University of Sheffield is facing criticism after asking if “transphobic lesbians” can be “shaggable,” ‘The Tab Sheffield’ reports.
“Sally Hines, Chair of Sociology at the university, has been accused of homophobia and faced calls for a disciplinary probe over some of her comments on the transgender debate.”
Hines, professor of gender studies has been a part of several disputes with gender-critical feminists, with one specific argument also receiving criticism where she referred to lesbians as “lezzies” and “homos”.
Hines denies the allegations and has since deleted 18 twitter posts, including the one asking: “Can transphobic lesbians still be shagable? [sic]”.
Sheffield University has not confirmed whether they will be investigating the tweets or not.
