Experience Center Leader

The End User Technology Experience organization has end to end ownership of end user technology products and services for our 300,000 employees who operate in over 140 countries. Our organization is on a path to leverage the vast amounts of data both in terms of telemetry and qualitative data to improve our products and services, drive investment decisions, increase customer satisfaction and support business change and adoption. The Experience Center Leader will be responsible for leading a new analytics and reporting function that will provide EY with insights that will inform C-level decisions in the firm.

EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster, and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.   


The opportunity

As the Experience Center Leader you will have the opportunity to lead a team of data engineers and data scientists who will perform highly complex data analytics and analysis on a platform of EY’s creation that will guide the future of End User Technology at EY.  You will provide the technical and business leadership in the development of a state-of-the-art analytics platform that will leverage the latest Azure based cloud technologies and analytic tools. You will lead our data analytics efforts to understand how our people work and their experience with technology which will ensure we make the right investments and choose the technology partners that support our mission of increasing productivity, team collaboration and increase the quality of our client service.


Your key responsibilities

Lead a team of data engineers and data scientists in their research, development, and implementation of a data analytics platform that lead to meaningful customer insight. Provide thought leadership, acting as a subject matter expert in the design and recommendation of appropriate analytical approaches and methodologies in addressing end user technology service challenges. Accountable for the overall management of the End User Technology analytics function, including quality and value to the organization. Deliver executive-level presentations that successfully generate decisions on global product introduction, improvement and adoption strategies from the analysis performed. Oversee and monitor all activities of the data analytics and data warehousing function and its personnel
Skills and attributes for success
  • Excellent leadership skills, demonstrating an ability to inspire and lead a large cross-functional group in a unified direction with a common vision
  • Ability to influence business leadership and executives, while ensuring that junior analytics personnel will readily follow the vision and purpose of the function
  • Experience with strategic planning using quantitative techniques which includes Requirements Gathering, Stakeholder Analysis, SWOT analysis, PESTEL, Growth Driver Analysis, Strategic Options Grid, Porters Strategic Grid, Planning checklist, Kotter’s business Change modeling, Control and review using Driver outcome-based performance management framework, Microsoft project
To qualify for the role you must have
  • Multiyear experience in leading multi-million-dollar budgeted Projects and programs, and / or an analytics function with global scope and scale
  • Technical experience with enterprise data warehouse solutions, statistical analysis tools, database systems, and data visualization applications including Azure Data Warehouse, R – programming, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, PowerBI, Master data management
  • Skilled in the use of SQL and be highly proficient in the workings of big data technologies (Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Azure Streaming, R – Programming, NoSQL, MongoDB, Machine learning)
  • Minimum BS; Master’s degree a strong plus in a relevant field including Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or any other related field
  • Working experience in a data analytics department, preferably working as a Head of Analytics and Data Architecture. Successful experience in bringing together diverse functions and building teams that include data analytics and warehousing personnel.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Consulting experience with multiyear executive Presentation skills 
  • Strong client facing skills and the ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts with confidence and in an easy-to-understand fashion
  • Highly organized with an ability to work independently under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
