JOB TITLE: Commercial Placement Consultant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the account team ensure the following processes are completed:
- Oversee and manage the insurance placement process for new and renewal accounts as assigned
- Facilitate Insurance Placement Strategy Calls with the account team
- Primary contact with internal account team during the insurance placement process
- Complete submissions to the insurance market
- Negotiate coverage, terms and pricing with the insurance market
- Review forms, terms and conditions, as received
- Provide quote comparisons
- Complete bind orders
- Ongoing communications with the team during the insurance placement process
- Review required applications for submission accuracy
Teamwork
Function as team member of the Agency to ensure superior service to all MMA Clients. These activities include but are not limited to:
- Attend Insurance Placement Team meetings as appropriate
- Work with producers/account managers and other placement team personnel on market strategy for accounts
- Communicate between company, account executive, client and producer as to the status of the Insurance Placement process and daily correspondence
- Creates and maintains strong working relationships within the insurance market
- Treat clients, prospects, and company employees with courtesy and respect.
- Contribute to development and education of colleagues
- Supports other offices/regions as needed
Technical Expertise
Demonstrate the technical expertise to assist in maintaining the Client Insurance Program and lead the insurance placement process, including, but are not limited to:
- Analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations of terms and conditions
- Communicate and negotiate with insurance markets
- Utilize carrier online rating programs, as necessary.
- Understand the current insurance market conditions
- Maintain and develop knowledge of policy forms and endorsements
- Design insurance program for client based on defined needs
- Identify and address any coverage gaps with account service teams and insurance markets
- Become subject matter expert and resource in area of interest or technical capability
REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed: Louisiana P&C Agent or able to obtain Louisiana P&C license
- Minimum of 5-7 years of middle market Business Insurance Experience
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Proficient at Sagitta, ImageRight, Word, Excel, and current internet technologies.
- Demonstrate proactive work style
- Ability to learn, analyze and comprehend business lines of insurance.
- Demonstrate ability to service clients effectively through problem solving, appropriate confidentiality, diplomacy, sensitivity and tactfulness
