The De-risking department is a mix of experienced Pension Administrators and Trainee Administrators spreads across 3 locations across the UK and we know that it’s the people that make the real difference.

The main purpose of this role is to work with our clients and Risk Transfer group to help guide and support Trustees through the various De-risking projects like Buy-outs, Pension Increase exchange exercises, Enhanced Transfer value exercises, data cleansing , benefit audit reviews etc.

In this role you will:
Create, implement and report progress against specific project plans which are aligned to the overall team strategy and the clients expectations. Regularly completes and shares effective project updates highlighting progress, achievements and future priorities.
Actively support the team by sharing knowledge from their own experience, helping colleagues to consistently deliver client satisfaction. Acts as a mentor and role model for the team, knowing when to support and challenge others to help create a high performing, but fun, working environment.
Quickly identify and analyse risks in pension scheme data, which may impact effective project delivery and offers cost effective and timely solutions to ensure projects remain on track. Ensures pension calculations are undertaken promptly and accurately to ensure members receive the correct level of benefit.
Be a champion of change and provide opinions if you have an idea to create more efficiencies
Support the Client Service Managers by providing routine updates which are accurate and informative. Shows flexibility in the method of communication to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed of progress and are satisfied with the level of service provided.
Respond to errors and ensure complaints are handled effectively
Promptly and professionally communicate with clients and scheme members on queries when required via letter, e-mail and telephone
Undertake, delegate and review operational tasks as appropriate to ensure all projects are achieving the deadlines, budgets and quality standards. Maintains accurate records to evidence the progress and profit of each project.
Qualifications Required: As this role will be dealing with pension calculations, it’s important that you consider the following before submitting your application:
- GCSE (or equivalent) completion in mathematics and English (grade C and above or Level 4/5+.)
- Good Defined Benefits experience
- Good Excel skills
- Good analytical skills
- Experience and proficiency in working effectively in a project based team
- Project management experience would be an advantage
- Broad understanding of pensions processes and legislation and the principles underpinning them.
- Confidence in providing feedback and conducting peer reviews
