Job Description

We have an opening for an Events Intern in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for a driven and ambitious individual who wants to gain experience in coordinating events for the marketing department of an international consulting firm. The Events Intern will be involved in tasks including venue research, materials preparation, attendee tracking, CLE administration, and event software management.

Skills and Attributes

Candidates should be working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, event management, marketing, public relations, or other related degree. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented, with exceptional communication skills the ability to multi-task. Candidates must work effectively in a team environment and have familiarity with current events best practices. The ideal candidate will have an interest in or experience at professional services firms.

Undergraduates who have completed their junior year are preferred. Interns work a minimum 40-hour week and are paid overtime after 40 hours. We ask for a minimum commitment of 10 consecutive weeks between June and August.

The applicable hourly rate for this role is $27.50. The hourly rate offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
