We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Professional to join our Operations Consultancy practice on a 12-month FTC.

As part of a comprehensive approach to managing and developing the St. James’s Place Partnership, the Operations Consultancy Team are a vital part of a specialised Field Management Team, focused on enhancing Partner Practices back-office infrastructure and process’.

The Operations Consultancy team is made up of Consultant’s that have expert knowledge in either HR, Operational Excellence or Business Processing who together will be able to help Practices improve their overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Working within the Operations Consultancy team, you will be part of a team that engages with the Partner businesses to optimise opportunities to improve existing processes that contribute towards growth and development and in turn Partner businesses productivity.

Deliver appropriate HR support to Partnership businesses with Senior HR Consultants. This is likely to involve the discussion of long-term business goals; strategic and tactical observations; and insights and recommendations to Practice’s for improvement/growth being made.

Provide employment-related information and guidance to the Partnership which is legally compliant and follows HR standard methodology by facilitating HR Health Checks, referring complex cases and queries to Senior HR Consultants where relevant.

Organise and attend events/workshops to ensure Partners/Practice Managers and St. James’s Place colleagues are well informed and aligned in respect of current/future employment and associated legislation and people management standard methodology.

What are we looking for?

Basic understanding of UK employment law. Including but not limited to redundancy, disciplinary, capability, TUPE, performance management and pay/reward

Passionate about delivering customer focused, standard methodology, pragmatic HR solutions which contribute to Partners’ businesses

Confident communicator and skilled influencer who quickly engages with, and builds effective working relationships at all levels and across a diverse range of team members

Able to demonstrate the ability to identify and refer on a wide range of sophisticated employee relations issues, identifying and advising upon the associated risks involved

Able to identifying learning needs, and designing and delivering engaging development solutions and materials to meet those needs
